Catalina Arroyave Restrepo (Colombia)

Catalina Arroyave Restrepo is a Colombian screenwriter, director, actor trainer and teacher. She is the co-founder of Rara Colectivo Audiovisual, a film project management company based in Medellín. Catalina directed the feature film Days of the Whale (Los días de la ballena) (2019), which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was selected for more than 20 international film festivals, including Zurich, Buenos Aires, Melbourne, São Paulo, Valladolid and Cartagena de Indias. Days of the Whale won the Award for Best First Feature Film at the Festival FILMAR en América Latina in Geneva, the Audience Award at the Colombian Film Festival in New York, the Jury Award at the Mérida and Yucatán International Film Festival, and the CherryPicks First Feature Special Recognition at the SXSW Film Festival. Catalina is currently writing her second feature film.
