Rodrigo Lappado (Uruguay)

Rodrigo Lappado is a Uruguayan filmmaker from Montevideo. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad de la República in Uruguay and graduated from the Audiovisual Production Program at the Uruguayan Film School. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as a press cameraman, editor and post-producer in television and advertising. Since 2013 he has been working as an independent editor and producer. He has made several short films, including the narrative shorts Noche mágica (2009) and Ella y todo lo otro (2011), which participated in various film festivals. He co-directed with Germán Luongo the mid-length documentary Plancha (2009), which participated in the 2010 Cinema City International Film Festival in Serbia and in the Cinema Social Club exhibition in 2012. From 2010 to 2012 he wrote, directed and edited with Matías Ganz the television series Rec. In 2013 he directed with Germán Luongo the documentary La prensa es mujer, presented by the National Direction of Culture of Uruguay. From 2014 to 2017 he wrote and directed with Matías Ganz the fiction television series El mundo de los videos.

La chica de enfrente — Chiara is obsessed with her neighbor next door to the point that she spies on her. One day, she sees her being attacked by her husband, but they both disappear. Chiara discovers that the front door was left ajar and begins to suspect that a crime was committed.
