2023 Script Revision Lab
Mathilde Hauducoeur is a French-American writer-director based between Paris and New York. She holds an M.F.A. in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University in New York City, where she developed and sharpened her passion for stories that explore the intricacies of female friendship. The constant interplay between violence and sparkles that characterizes these relationships deeply fascinates her. Mathilde’s thesis short film, Ailes d’ange et plaies ouvertes (Angel Wings and Open Wounds), won the 2022 GiGadgets production grant and will have its French premiere in the fall. Mathilde is currently developing her next short film and her first feature film, Sylvie’s Weekend, which she is bringing to Cine Qua Non Lab’s Script Revision Lab.
Sylvie’s Weekend — After finding out her father left and isn’t coming back, sixteen-year-old Sylvie convinces her best friend Manon to run away to Paris for a weekend of self-discovery and painful realizations.
