Sara Nanclares (Colombia)

Sara Nanclares is a Colombian film director, screenwriter and producer. In 2019 her thesis short film, Todos los peces que maté, premiered at the Cartagena International Film Festival, where it won an award in the New Creators section and was acquired for release in movie theaters nationwide. In 2021 she wrote and directed the fiction miniseries Santa, which was broadcast the following year on all channels of the Colombian public television network. Sara is also the producer of the documentary feature film Amando a Martha, a Colombian-Argentine co-production that premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in 2022 and had its theatrical release in Colombia in 2023. Sara holds an M.A. in Directing Film and Television from Bournemouth University and a B.A. in Audiovisual Communication.
