Pedro Soares Gusmão (Brazil)

Pedro Soares Gusmão holds a degree in Journalism and a degree in Screenwriting and Film Directing and has been working in the audiovisual sector for almost 20 years. He was born in Porto Alegre, but today lives in Cantabria, Spain. Pedro is in the process of finishing his first documentary series, Rotas Cervejeiras, for Globo’s Modo Viagem channel in Brazil. His first feature-length fiction script, La carne dócil, was a finalist in the Porto Alegre Screenwriting Festival (FRAPA) competition in 2022 and participated in Abycine Lanza and in the Terror Molins professional days. After having worked for years with documentaries and branded content, Pedro’s focus today is on fiction scripts, mainly in the fantasy genre (horror, science fiction and fantasy).

La carne dócil Roberto, an ambitious Brazilian chef, starts working at Saturnia, the most luxurious and exclusive restaurant in northern Spain. While trying to understand his place in the productive pyramid of European tourism, he gets involved in a plot of labor exploitation and cannibalism.
