Charlotte Rabate (France)

Charlotte Rabate is a French-Syrian filmmaker based in New York. She is the co-creator of The Colony, a TV series executive produced by Nicky Weinstock (Severance). The pilot script was bought by HBO Max. Charlotte is currently developing her feature film Samir, the Accidental Spy. With this project she attended the Rawi Screenwriters Lab, the Berlinale Talents, the Hamptons Screenwriters Lab, Torino Film Lab, and Cine Qua Non Lab’s Script Revision Lab. She recently attended the Atlas Workshops, part of the Marrakech International Film Festival. Stray Dolls, a feature film she produced and co-wrote, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and received the Tribeca All Access Grant, the Jerome Foundation Grant and the Tribeca Film Institute’s IWC Schaffhausen Award. Charlotte holds an M.F.A. in Directing from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU).

Charlotte was a participant in Cine Qua Non Lab’s 2021 Script Revision Lab with Samir, the Accidental Spy, and in the 2021 Storylines Lab with Maya Untitled Project (now Baby, Just Say Yes).

Baby, Just Say Yes When a hysterical Maya kidnaps her ex-boyfriend, she is sent to St Martha’s, a strict rehabilitation center for the heartbroken. At the center, while her treatment consists of removing all her emotions in order to lead a successful life, Maya plots her jailbreak.
