Javier San Miguel (Spain)

Javier San Miguel is a Spanish filmmaker based in Paris. His latest short films have been selected at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), the Gijón International Film Festival and the Strasbourg Fantastic Film Festival, among other renowned festivals. After an initial stint in Madrid, where he made short films during his engineering studies, he moved to Paris to further his career in film. In Paris he met other talented expatriates with whom he collaborates on various productions, forming a creative hub with a notable Spanish-speaking presence. Javier also has experience as an actor, having attended courses in Taiwan, Denmark and France. He recently co-starred in a Korean independent feature film currently in post-production. Javier aspires to continue working on stories that combine fantastic elements with the exploration of social issues and to create co-productions that connect his host country with the Spanish-speaking world.
