Andrea Segarra Bueno is a Spanish screenwriter and director, born in the Valencian Community, who studied Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid and Dramatic Art at the Cristina Rota School. In Barcelona he wrote, co-directed and starred in Barbitúrica Burlesque, a queer series that premiered at the Cinema Jove Festival in Valencia and won the award for best series at the Zaragoza Film Festival. He founded the production company The Undead Paradise, with which he produced the medium-length film La petite mort, winner of the award for best screenplay at the Global India Film Festival. He also wrote and directed El ángel azul, a video art piece awarded at the Video Pride Festival in Madrid. Andrea wrote and directed the short film Sangría, which premiered at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles. His short film Only SNUFF screened at the Mórbido Film Fest in Mexico, while his most recent project, the short film summerlove, is currently in post-production.
