Alejandro Pedemonte (Peru/USA)

Alejandro Pedemonte is an actor, producer, director and screenwriter with more than 20 years of experience in theater, having participated as an actor in series such as Prison Break and Crash. He is the founder of the first Spanish-language theater company in Austin, Texas. His first short film, Loop (It’s a Matter of Time), won the award for best director at the Toronto LGBTQ+ Film Festival and was an official selection at the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham and in the narrative short film competition at the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival in Austin. Alejandro is currently working on the development of his first feature film, Frank(o).

Frank(o) [co-written with Moises Moreno] Franko is a Peruvian politician running for mayor of his hometown: Austin, Texas. During an event to help Latino immigrants in the United States, and as a result of a logistical error, he is forced to invite a young Mexican man and a Colombian mother to spend the night at his house.
