David Figueroa García is a Mexican filmmaker. He holds a B.A. in Classic Literature from the City University of New York (CUNY) and an M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University in New York. His first short film,
Ratitas, won best short film at the Brooklyn Film Festival and the Monterrey International Film Festival. His second short film,
Perfidia, premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain and won Best Mexican Short at the Guanajuato International Film Festival. His script
Unos días al sol was selected for Ibermedia’s Development Course in Madrid, with a scholarship by Fundación Carolina, and was awarded a development grant by the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE).

La reunión — A teenage boy disappears during a family reunion on the coast, and while the family comes together as they search for him, Lola, a lighthearted and self-centered teen, tries to keep enjoying her time at the beach despite the responsibility she might have in her cousin’s disappearance.
