Alisha Bhowmik (USA)

Alisha Bhowmik is a multi-racial, multi-hyphenate artist from Arkansas based in Brooklyn, New York. She’s a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in acting in conjunction with the Atlantic Acting School. She produced the feature film Blow Up My Life, which won Best Film at Harlem International Film Festival and had a limited AMC theatrical run in fall 2023. Alisha has produced and/or directed short films and music videos that have been awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick and NoBudge Best of the Year 2022 and have been featured in Huffington Post, Refinery29, NYLON and PAPER magazine. Her short documentary Dot & a Feather was the first Sundance Collab Challenge winner. Alisha currently works as a film producer at acclaimed advertising agency Droga5 (clients: Essentia, Chase Bank, AdCouncil, Atlassian).

Not knowing the language or the culture in Calcutta, Aarya must deal with her father’s death while also figuring out her own next steps in life.
