Andrés Felipe Torres is a Colombian director and screenwriter. His first documentary film,
La Fortaleza, produced by Indigo Cine in co-production with Señal Colombia and with the support of the Colombian Film Development Fund (FDC), was released in commercial theaters in Colombia in January 2020 and that same year it entered entered Rolling Stone Colombia’s Top 20 and RTVC Radiónica’s Top 10.
La Fortaleza was nominated for the New Talent Award at the Sheffield Doc Fest, won the awards for Best Youth Feature Film at the Valdivia Film Festival and Best Film at the Santander Film Festival, was Feature Film of the Year at Bogoshorts, won the Audience Award at the Minuto 90 Festival, was the closing film at the Bogotá International Documentary Film Festival, was selected by critics for the “Imperdibles” cycle at the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín and was an official selection at the Cartagena Film Festival, the Panorama Internazionale of the Rome Film Festival and the Buenos Aires International Documentary Festival, among dozens of other international festivals. Tricolor, his first fiction film.
