Originally from Mexico, Angélica Lares is the Coordinator of the Film Market of the International Film Festival in Guadalajara (FICG). She has also coordinated the Co-Production Meeting and Guadalajara Construye/Works in Progress in several editions of the FICG, as well as programs for supporting projects at different stages of production. Angélica has been a speaker and panelist in co-production forums at various festivals, such as the Gijón International Film Festival in Spain and the São Paulo Latin American Film Festival in Brazil, as well as a jury member at the Viña del Mar International Film Festival in Chile and the International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City—DocsMX, among others. Angélica has also produced several cultural and film events, such as the Los Angeles Spanish-language Book Fair—LéaLA and outdoor screenings in the historic center of Guadalajara, among other events.
