Anna Ciennik

Storylines Lab

Polish-born, French-educated, Anna Ciennik works as a script consultant for various labs, such as Locarno Open Doors, Torino Film Lab’s ScriptLab, and European Short Pitch, among many others. Her credits include Clara Sola by Nathalie Álvarez Mesén (Cannes Directors’ Fortnight 2021), Amparo by Simón Mesa Soto (Cannes Critics’ Week 2021), Julie Keeps Quiet by Leonardo Van Dijl (Cannes Critics’ Week 2024), and The Good Sister by Sarah Miro Fischer (Berlinale, Panorama 2025). As a screenwriter, she co-wrote Erige Sehiri’s (Under the Fig Trees) sophomore feature film, to be released in 2025. She is currently cowriting Déni Pitsaev’s fiction debut, Maspalomas.

Anna turned to script development fully after the pandemic. Prior to that she worked in various capacities —as line producer and post-production supervisor— before joining Les Arcs European Film Festival as manager of the European industry events. Between 2017 and 2021, she curated five editions of its co-production markets. Anna is a member of the Collectif 50/50 and the SCA, a French screenwriter’s organization.
