Bruna Trindade is a Brazilian screenwriter, director, actress and comedian, and partner of Ritornelo, a center for creation and research in film and dramaturgy. She grew up in a dysfunctional family and found in art a sense of belonging and a passion that has always moved her. Her projects explore themes of race, Latin American witchcraft, queer culture, family relationships and friendship between women, and span genres such as comedy, drama, fantasy, musical and horror. Her latest works include the scripts for the comedy series Cosme and Damião (Porta dos Fundos/Globoplay), the sitcom No Corre (Formata/Globo) and the feature film in development Augusto, Augusto! for the Irish production company Morgan Brothers (with funding from European Co-Development and Screen Ireland). Bruna was a screenwriter for the fantasy series A Magia de Aruna (Formata/Disney+), as well as a screenwriter, assistant director, cast coach and actress for the series Trago a Pessoa Amada (Orla Filmes/BoxBrazil). This year she will produce, with funding from RioFilme, her first short film as a screenwriter and director, Santo Antônio, inspired by a true story.
