Cecilia Engels is a Brazilian screenwriter, director and audiovisual editor, based in São Paulo. She directed five short films, two medium-length films and a feature film that were screened in national and international festivals and were also shown on Brazilian television. Cecilia has been working for 13 years in the audiovisual industry and her passion is being involved in projects that deal with issues of social, environmental and spiritual development and the recovery of historical memory. Cecilia has a Degree in Film from the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo and specialized in film language and screenwriting at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York.
