David Rojas (Colombia)

Passionate about all things audiovisual, David Rojas is a Colombian filmmaker with a long academic career. He studied audiovisual media at the Politécnico Grancolombiano university in Bogotá, Colombia, and cinema at the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo, Brazil, and holds a master’s degree in fine art photography from the IED School in Madrid, Spain. David has attended several film production and screenwriting seminars, including Robert Mckee’s Television Series Seminar, and a preparatory course on Colombian popular music. His working life has been highlighted by versatility. He began working as a photography assistant for more than ten years. He then worked for five years as an audiovisual director at Canal Trece, a Colombian public television channel, writing, directing and editing documentary chronicles, corporate commercials and a fiction web series, while simultaneously working as a documentary and portrait photographer. In 2014 he founded his production company, El Acecho Films, where he currently works full-time developing fiction and documentary projects.
