Erlendur Sveinsson (Iceland)

Erlendur Sveinsson is an award-winning filmmaker from Reykjavík. He graduated from Columbia University in New York City with an M.F.A. in Film Directing. His short films Kanarí and Thick Skin received back-to-back nominations as drama of the year at the Vimeo Staff pick awards and were selected to play at over 100 film festivals around the globe. He is well known for his ambitious and unique music videos with notable Icelandic artists such as Laufey, Víkingur Ólafsson and Ásgeir. Erlendur is a Fulbright scholar, a Berlinale Talent Campus alum and was selected to attend Nordic Talents in 2019 and Les Arcs talent village. He is currently directing two episodes in season two of the scandi-noir series Black Sands for Glass River as well as gearing up for his first feature length film.
