Gustavo Gamero is a Mexican director and screenwriter based in Monterrey, Nuevo León. He has directed, among others, the short films Fraterno (2018), Antes de entrar permita salir (2018), Instrucciones para soltar (2019) and Tierra (2021). His films have been an official selection in international film festivals such as Rotterdam, Palm Springs Short Fest, Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse, OutFest Los Angeles, Melbourne, BFI Future and Slamdance, among many others. His work revolves mainly around the periphery, memory, sexual diversity and social conflicts. He is currently developing Imágenes guardadas, his debut feature.

Imágenes guardadas — In an attempt to heal wounds, Dana and Caro exchange video letters where they explore the memories of their relationship, after the depression of one of them led them to separate and leave their home in Monterrey.
