Helena Guerra is a Brazilian screenwriter, director, and editor. She is the founder of Irmãos Guerra Filmes (2012) and the cultural project Projeto Marieta (2015), where she has been leading the Script Development Groups since 2020. She has directed eight short films and eight music videos, which have been awarded at national and international festivals. Her debut feature film, O Monstro, is currently in post-production and was showcased in the work-in-progress sections of the 2024 Havana Film Festival and the 2025 Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes. In 2019, she was selected for the La Selva artistic residency in Barcelona, mentored by acclaimed director Lucrecia Martel. Helena is also a member of the Cabíria Talent Network, a platform that promotes the work of women in the film industry.
