Hemant Gaba (India)

An alumnus of Busan Asian Film School in South Korea and Documentary Campus in Germany, Hemant Gaba works in both fiction and documentary formats. His works as a director include Fireflies (2023), an adventure fantasy web series, and An Engineered Dream (2018), a feature documentary that won a National Film Award, screened at over a dozen film festivals, including Guangzhou Docs in China, Jogja-NETPAC in Indonesia, and Vesoul Asian Film Festival in France, and aired on television in Canada, Singapore, China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and India. His short film Supergirl (2015), made for kids, had its international premiere at the TIFF Kids Film Festival in Toronto and won Best Live Action at the BAM Kids Film Festival in New York. Hemant also served as a script consultant for Wild Swans (2023), an Indian film which premiered at Vancouver International Film Festival in 2023 and received Best Indian Film award at Kolkata International Film Festival.
