Ivette Liang (Cuba/Colombia)

Ivette Liang is a producer, partner and founder of Galaxia 311 SAS (Colombia). She specializes in working with debut feature films and co-produces with multiple countries. Movies she has produced have premiered at film festivals such as Cannes, Rotterdam, Toronto and Sitges, among others, receiving multiple international awards. She has been part of the selection committee of international labs and markets such as Locarno Open Doors, Torino Film Lab and Guadalajara Talents, among others. Ivette is a project advisor for various international markets and labs and teaches classes focused on pitching and project development. Her filmography includes La defensa del dragón, which premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival; La venganza de Jairo, directed by Simón Hernández, winner of the audience award at the 2019 Sitges Film Festival and the best documentary award at several international festivals; and Venecia, directed by Kiki Álvarez, which premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and won several international awards. She is currently developing El caso Lucinda, her directorial debut.
