2025 Residencia Cine Qua Non
Laura Obradors graduated in Screenwriting from the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC) in Barcelona. In 2019 she wrote and directed her first short film, Si amanece, nos vamos, which premiered at La Noche del Corto Español of the Valladolid International Film Week (SEMINCI) in 2020, screened in international festivals such as Curta Cinema in Rio de Janeiro and won awards at festivals such as Cortogenia. In 2024 Laura wrote and directed her second short film, Las chicas, which was acquired by the distribution company Agencia Freak and has been screened in film festivals such as the Alcalá de Henares Film Festival (ALCINE), the Gijón International Film Festival, the Medina del Campo Film Week, Skyline Benidorm, and the Bogotá Short Film Festival (Bogoshorts). Laura has taught screenwriting at ESCAC and has worked as head of development at Zabriskie Films. She is currently developing her first feature film, El corquim (La carcoma), produced by Espurna Films and supported by the Catalan Institute of Cultural Projects (ICEC).
Laura was a participant in Cine Qua Non Lab’s 2024 Taller de Líneas Argumentales lab with El corquim (La carcoma) .
