Manuela Irene Espitia was born in Mexico City. She holds a Degree in Film and Television from CENTRO in Mexico City. Manuela has worked as script supervisor, producer, assistant director and screenwriter in TV series, commercials and short films. In 2010 she wrote and directed her first short film,
El conejo feliz, which was selected to participate in various film festivals, including the Puebla International Film Festival in 2012. Her second short film,
Un gesto, is currently in post-production. In 2011 Manuela received a grant from the Mexican Endowment for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) for the development of her screenplay
