Matt Kenchington is a filmmaker living in Los Angeles. He received his M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University in New York City, where he graduated with honors from the Directing Program, and has written, directed and produced numerous comedies, including the award-winning short film Turtle and the award-winning web series Headshots. Matt is currently finishing his feature screenplay Guitar God, which he workshopped in Cine Qua Non Lab’s 2020 Storylines Lab. He is extremely thrilled to be able to work on his new project, Calming Signals, at this year’s lab.

Calming Signals — On his way to scatter his only friend’s ashes in Key West, an eccentric animal expert from Brooklyn is forced to pick up two strays along the way — a failed actress and her dog.
