Storylines Lab / Cine Qua Non Retreat
Meedo Taha is a Lebanese filmmaker and author whose films have screened internationally at festivals such as Busan and Clermont-Ferrand and received support from the Doha Film Institute, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the French National Center of Cinema (CNC) and the Sundance Institute, among others. He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Tokyo and an M.F.A. in Film Directing and Cinematography from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with acting training at Stella Adler Academy and The Groundlings.
Meedo has mentored emerging storytellers at Sundance Co//ab, Film Independent, Cine Qua Non Lab, and Chapman University in California. His short films include Mouse, The Incident, Winesburg, I Offered You Pleasure, and Nadia’s Visa. He is currently developing an existential thriller set in Lebanese wine country and splits his time between Los Angeles and Beirut.
