Paulina Barros was born and raised in Mexico City. She studied screenwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), Mexico’s National Institute of Fine Arts Film School. During 2007-2008 she held a fellowship for Playwriting at the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas. In 2008 she developed and co-wrote
Estado de gracia, a miniseries for television which premiered in Mexico and the United States in 2011. In 2010 she moved to New York to pursue her M.F.A. in Theatre Arts at Columbia University. Her plays

The Comfort of Numbers have had full productions in New York City during 2011-2013. Paulina is a Resident Artist at Mabou Mines/Suite.
