Quamé Hamlin is an emerging writer-director based in Washington, D.C. He is a 2021 SHIFT Creative Fund winner, Nantucket Film Festival Tony Cox Screenplay Competition finalist, and WeScreenplay Diverse Voices semi-finalist. A graduate of Norfolk State University and an M.F.A. candidate in Film and Media Arts at American University, Quamé has worked over the course of his career with Complex Media, Nike, CBS, and The New York Times Company in the name of great storytelling. His most recent short film, Transition, starring University of Texas star Matt Coleman III, recently completed its festival run. Currently, Quamé is in the process of producing his next short film, Recovery Chain, as well as developing the screenplay for his debut feature film, Park Kidz.
