Renee Seijas Zamboni (Guatemala)

Renee Seijas Zamboni is a Guatemalan filmmaker. After studying in Vancouver, she built her career in the art and post-production departments, working for independent films in Canada, Chile and Guatemala. She always had a curiosity for writing and directing her own projects. In 2021 she participated in a Female Film Production Lab, resulting in her directing debut, A Recipe to Say Goodbye (2022), a documentary short film which was selected in various film festivals around the world, including Australia, Vancouver, the United Kingdom and Argentina. In December 2023, Renee directed her first fiction short film, The Coyota Awakening, which is currently in post-production. She works with her colleagues at Cuenca Studios and also co-founded Orca Cinema, a female-led film production company.
