Rodrigo Lappado is a Uruguayan screenwriter and director. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences and a degree in Audiovisual Production from the Uruguay Film School. He has written and directed television fiction series such as El mundo de los videos (2017) and Rec (2012), as well as the short films Noche mágica (2009) and Ella y todo lo otro (2011). Rodrigo also works as an editor, with notable works including the music video Mudar (2020), by Eté y los Problems, and the feature film La muerte de un perro (2019). He is currently developing the feature fiction film La vecina de enfrente.

Rodrigo was a participant in Cine Qua Non Lab’s 2020 Taller de Líneas Argumentales lab with La chica de enfrente (ahora La vecina de enfrente).

La vecina de enfrente — When her sister moves abroad, Chiara must learn to live on her own, and she suffers. She spends her time locked in her apartment until she meets her neighbor Emilia, with whom she forms an intense bond that quickly turns problematic.
