Originally from Israel, Tamar Komem grew up in several countries and cities, always observing and creating stories in her head. She is a scriptwriter and video editor, currently working for the Israeli public TV channel. Tamar was a participant at the Script Station of the Berlinale Talent Campus and the Talent Lab of the Reykjavik Film Festival. Tamar’s scripts have been internationally recognized — her script Arbaa Hadarim won the award for Best Unproduced Script Based on a Drama at the 2013 Madrid International Film Festival, and her script Children won the bronze award for short film scripts at the 2015 World Series of Screenwriting, among other recognitions. Tamar holds an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from Tel Aviv University, where she graduated on the Dean’s list.
