Teodoro Poppovic (Brazil)

Teodoro Poppovic is a Brazilian screenwriter and director working in film and fiction series. He holds a degree in communication with a specialization in film from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo. Teodoro has created television series for media platforms such as Netflix, HBO Latin America and Rede Globo/GloboPlay, among other open and cable television channels, which have won two International Emmy Awards, among many other prizes. His most recent series as general director is Feras (2019), for Viacom/GloboPlay. Teodoro directed the comedy feature film TOC: Transtornada Obsesiva Compulsiva (Neurotic Quest for Serenity) (2017), which screened in film festivals such as Chicago, Toronto, Tallinn and SXSW, among others. His most recent feature film, the dark comedy A Vilã das Nove (Primetime Villain) (2024), screened at the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo international film festivals and will soon be available on Disney+ in Brazil.

Teodoro was a participant in Cine Qua Non Lab’s 2020 Taller de Revisión de Guion lab with Interior.
