Xabier Saavedra is a screenwriter, director and producer based in Mexico City, who studied filmmaking in the United States, Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. As a development executive at Corazón Films, his adaptations and rewrites have earned to date 28 million Mexican pesos in tax incentives. His short films, both fiction and documentary, have been released and have won awards at film festivals in more than 10 countries. Xabier is currently finishing editing his first feature documentary, on which he also served as a producer.
