Cine Qua Non Lab is pleased to announce the call for applicants for its 2022 Storylines Lab.
Storylines is an online lab designed for narrative feature film projects from early concept to treatment stage. The lab gives independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on the creative development of their projects in an environment structured to foster professional collaboration and high-quality project development.
The lab is facilitated by a professional in the field with long-standing experience. In addition to the guidance provided by the facilitator through workshop sessions and one-on-one meetings, the lab offers the participants the opportunity to workshop their projects with other international filmmakers, be part of a community of like-minded artists, and access the Cine Qua Non Lab film professional network.
Storylines is held virtually and has a duration of 12 consecutive days, with a 2-day follow-up session. The lab has two editions: one in English and one in Spanish.
The lab sessions of the Spanish edition will take place between April 1st and April 30th, 2022. The follow-up session will be held in May 2022.
The lab sessions of the English edition will take place between May 1st and May 31st, 2022. The follow-up session will be held in June 2022.
Professional filmmakers from around the world developing a narrative feature film are eligible to apply.
Films developed in Cine Qua Non Lab workshops have been selected for prestigious film festivals worldwide, such as Cannes, Toronto, Berlin, Rotterdam, Tribeca or Sundance, among many others, and have garnered numerous awards and recognition.
