Àlex Lora

Born in Barcelona, Àlex Lora studied filmmaking in Spain, Italy and then New York as a Fulbright scholar. He has worked internationally as script analyst, editor, cinematographer, writer and director. During the last few years, Àlex has also taught at prestigious universities such as Elisava, Blanquerna and the University of Barcelona. His work has obtained more than 80 awards and has been screened in over 300 festivals in more than 40 countries. Àlex has participated in the official selection of the Sundance Film Festival, the Berlinale Talent Campus and the Cannes Short Film Corner, among other important venues, and has been one of the final nominees for the Student Academy Awards-Oscars®, finalist for the Vimeo Awards, and a two-time nominee for the Gaudí Awards of the Catalan Film Academy.

Atopía — Eduard, Emma and Ludmila live in different realities, yet all three will be involved in the international networks of trafficking and illegal adoption.
