Ana Arza (Paraguay)

Ana Arza trained in Paraguay, Argentina, and Spain, specializing in film directing, screenwriting, production, and distribution. She has more than twelve years of experience working on directing and production teams and has participated in feature films such as Las herederas, Matar a un muerto, and Los buscadores. In 2018 she moved to Spain, where she joined the marketing team of the independent distributor BTEAM Pictures and later worked as brand manager at the audiovisual platform Filmarket Hub. In 2024, she served as production manager for the feature film Narciso, directed by Marcelo Martinessi, an international co-production between seven countries. As a screenwriter and director, she made the short film Gallina, a Paraguayan-Spanish co-production supported by the Paraguayan National Audiovisual Institute (INAP) and the Paraguayan National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONDEC), which received over thirty international selections and won the Award for Best Paraguayan Short Film at the Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival (ASUFICC). Ana currently combines her work as a producer at Pororó Films with her role on development teams in Barcelona, while also pursuing her own projects, including her second short film, El perro y la campana, recently selected for the Mercado Audiovisual entre Fronteras (MAEF) audiovisual market.
