Andrea de los Ángeles (México)

Andrea de los Ángeles was born in Mexico City. From an early age she was inclined towards the fine arts, her main interests while growing up being the performing arts and photography. She holds a technical degree in analog photography from Mexico’s National Autonomous University (UNAM) and has attended acting workshops with graduates of New York’s American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) and with actor Tenoch Huerta. She is an audiovisual creator with experience in scriptwriting and directing, especially in cinematography. She has photographed several Netflix advertising projects, as well as digital commercials and numerous fiction and documentary short films. She has been an assistant cinematographer on numerous short films, as well as television commercials for major brands, and has written multiple short films. Andrea is currently a creative producer at Troop, a digital content and commercial agency.

DisfuncionalIsabel learns that she is pregnant but can no longer have an abortion because she is too far into her pregnancy. Gera, her friend, is depressed after a divorce from a brief marriage. Together they face a roller coaster of hormones and emotions while attending doctor’s appointments, suffering the symptoms of pregnancy, facing social prejudice, and delving into the failing Mexican adoption system as they figure out what to do with the baby.
