Beniamino Barrese (Italy)

Beniamino Barrese studied Political Philosophy at Statale di Milano University, International Political Economy at King’s College London, and Cinematography at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, United Kingdom. Since 2011 he has been working as a cinematographer, director and photographer, collaborating on commercials, documentaries, short films and feature films. His first film as a director, the documentary The Disappearance of My Mother, premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2019, was nominated for Best Documentary at the European Film Awards, and received a Cinema Eye Award as Best Debut Feature. Since 2020, Beniamino has been alternating between DP and directing jobs, making commissioned videos for NGOs and for clients such as Gucci, Armani, Fondazione Prada, Prada and Camera della Moda.
