Camila Pineda (Colombia/Spain)

Camila Pineda is a director and screenwriter with a degree in Film and Television from Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. In 2018, she worked in Los Angeles as a television editor and camera assistant in advertising, where she gained experience in directing and creative production. In 2020, she returned to Barcelona and established herself as a director of fashion films, commercials, and visual formats, winning awards at festivals such as Berlin Commercial, London International Film Festival, and Berlin Fashion Festival. Since 2023, she has prioritized fiction with projects such as Toda una vida, an autobiographical short film produced by Pausa Dramàtica Films which won the Best Screenplay Award at Il Varco Film Festival in Rome. Her debut feature film, Retratos de intimidad, was a finalist in the Sundance Screenwriting Lab. In 2025, Camila won the Filmets Lab with her third short film, Limbo, currently in pre-production with El Rayo Verde and Pausa Dramàtica Films.

Lulada Eight-year-old Sabrina arrives in Barcelona with her mother, Ángela, promising to bring her grandmother a firefly, but both are confronted with a harsh reality: an absent father, nowhere to sleep, and an uncertain future as undocumented migrants. Taken in by a supportive network of migrant women, Ángela fights to gain legal status and provide stability for her daughter, while an unexpected friendship with Juliana becomes a new home. Together they must reinvent the meaning of family and belonging in an unfamiliar city.
