Script Revision Lab 2026

Diego Martínez Ulanosky is an Argentine filmmaker, writer, and producer based in Mexico. After studying International Relations, he began his career editing a cultural magazine, working on contemporary art festivals, and briefly in advertising before joining MTV, where he developed documentaries and original television formats. In 2009, he founded Caponeto, a production company dedicated to developing films, series, and stories driven by distinctive voices. Since then, his work has moved across television, literature, and cinema. He created Netflix’s Desenfrenadas (Unstoppable), served as showrunner of Soy tu fan, and has produced acclaimed feature films including Tengo miedo torero (My Tender Matador), ¡Ánimo juventud! (Go Youth!), and La virgen de la tosquera (The Virgin of the Quarry Lake), which premiered at major international festivals including Venice and Sundance. Alongside his audiovisual work, Diego has published short stories and the novel El hombre roto. His stories often explore masculinity, memory, grief, and the invisible forces that shape human relationships. He is currently developing his first feature film as a director, an adaptation of Selva Almada’s novel No es un río, continuing his exploration of intimate, emotionally resonant storytelling.
Not a River (No es un río) [based on a novel by Selva Almada] — A troubled teenage boy joins two old friends of his late father for a fishing trip on the same river island where he died years ago. What begins as an attempt at brotherhood, soon unravels into rivalry and unspoken grief, drawing the attention of hostile locals and turning the island into a trap.
