Fernando Fraiha (Brasil)

Fernando Fraiha is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. His first feature film, El Revenge, premiered at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival in 2017 and won the Jury’s Special Mention at the 2017 Rencontres du Cinéma Sud-Américain in Marseille and the Award for Best Director at the 2017 Brooklyn Film Festival. In partnership with TV Quase, Fernando is the director and one of the creators of the show “Choque de Cultura” (2015-2018), which already has five seasons on YouTube and Rede Globo. He is also one of the directors and screenwriters for the Netflix series Ninguém Tá Olhando (No One Is Watching) (2019), which was awarded Best Comedy Series at the 2020 International Emmy Awards. Besides being one of founding partners of the production company Biônica Filmes, Fernando has also produced international feature films such as Patti Cake$ by Geremy Jasper and Wasp Network by Olivier Assayas. In 2020 he shot his second feature film, Welcome, Violeta!, based on the novel Mountain Range by Daniel Galera.
