Gabriel Di Giacomo (Brazil)

Gabriel Di Giacomo began his career in the audiovisual industry in 2008 at MTV Brazil working in the channel’s comedy direction and script team. He recently directed the documentary Memória Sufocada (Suffocated Memory) (2021), which premiered at the Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo in 2021, was screened at the Viña del Mar International Film Festival in 2022 and received a jury special mention at the Malaga Film Festival in 2022. Gabriel was the director and screenwriter of the documentary film Marcha Cega (Blind March) (2018), selected for the Cine PE Festival: Festival do Audiovisual, the Madrid Film and Human Rights Festival and Visions du Réel (Media Library), among others. Gabriel was part of the screenwriting team for Abestalhados 2 (2022), a film distributed by Buena Vista International, and is also a producer and screenwriter for the documentary series Viajo Logo Existo (2020). In 2016, together with Marcelo Botta, he was the director and screenwriter of the television series Foca News, aired on FOX Channel.
