Hadas Ayalon (Israel)

Hadas Ayalon is a film director, writer and editor based in Tel Aviv. Hadas studied filmmaking at Tel Aviv University and her thesis short film, Paris on the Water (2014), was the first Israeli film to ever win the Student Academy Award–Oscar®. It also won the Israeli Film Academy Award for best narrative short film, was screened and won various prizes in many film festivals and was broadcasted in Arte. Her editing work includes Ada Ushpiz’s Vita Activa—The Spirit of Hannah Arendt, and David Fisher’s Six Million and One, among others. Hadas is currently directing a documentary funded by the Rabinovitch Foundation and the Israeli Public Channel and writing her first feature film, In a Minute You’ll Be Gone.

In a Minute You’ll Be Gone — Through an affair with a younger woman, Alma, a gay bereaved mother, finally finds a way to process her loss and find her way back home to her partner.
