Jiajie Yu (Spain)

Jiajie Yu is a director, screenwriter and producer born in Barcelona of Chinese parents. His works have been selected in more than 100 film festivals and he has been nominated for two Goya Awards — as director of the short film Xiao Xian and as producer of the short film Chaval. Jiajie is currently developing a fiction series for Morena Films that was selected for Conecta Fiction 2020. His first feature film project, San Dai Shi Guang (Three Ages), is part of the development program of the Spanish Film Academy Residencies, mentored by Carla Simón and Coral Cruz. His second feature film project, San Dai Tong Tang (Three Generations Under the Same Roof), is part of the Cambio de Plano development program by DAMA and Netflix. Jiajie is part of the first edition of “Spain Stars of Tomorrow” by the prestigious British film magazine Screen International, chosen as one of the 10 emerging talents with the greatest international projection.
