Jimena Montemayor Loyo is a Cum Laude graduate from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico City, where she majored in Direction and Cinematography. In 2006-2007 she studied in the Czech Republic at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU). She has been part of national and international film festivals with her work as a director and cinematographer. The short film Ver llover, in which she worked as a cinematographer, won the Palme d’Or at the 60th Cannes Film Festival. Her short film

Tierra de Nod, participated at the Carte Blanche section of the 65th Locarno Film Festival, for films in post-production. She is the founder of the production company Conejo Media, and partner and founder at Anima–Ars, a civil organization that provides cultural activities to people in need.
