Johan Verhook (Venezuela)

Johan Verhook is a Venezuelan director currently living in Mexico City. He holds a B.A. in Social Communication from the Universidad Monteávila in Caracas and attended scriptwriting courses at the National Film and Television School in England, where he also participated as an assistant director in short films. Johan started his career as a music video director and has more than 13 years of experience in different positions and projects for film, television, music videos and web content. He has assumed the role of co-producer on many occasions. Throughout his career he has worked in productions in Mexico, the United States, England, Argentina, Colombia, Haiti and Venezuela. The original content he has directed has reached more than 20 million views on YouTube. In the last three years, among other projects, he has been working as director of the television show Chumel con Chumel Torres, for HBO Latin America, and behind the cameras for the Netflix original series Luis Miguel: la serie.
