Laura Obradors (Spain)

Laura Obradors graduated in Screenwriting at the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC) in Barcelona. In 2019 she wrote and directed her first short film, Si amanece, nos vamos, a thesis project produced by Escac Films that premiered at La Noche del Corto Español (Punto de Encuentro) of the Valladolid International Film Week (SEMINCI) in 2020, was screened in international festivals such as Curta Cinema in Rio de Janeiro and won awards at festivals such as Cortogenia. Laura has taught at ESCAC and was part of the Young Jury at the 2022 Sitges Film Festival. She currently works as Head of Content Development at Zabriskie Films. In 2023 she directed her second short film, Las chicas, produced by Zabriskie Films, Espurna Films, Escándalo Films and Escac Studio, supported by the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Arts of Spain (ICAA), the Catalan Institute of Cultural Projects (ICEC) and the MEDIA Program of the European Union, and currently in post-production. Her debut film, La llum, currently in development, is supported by the ICEC.
