Lorna Fitzsimons (Ireland)

Lorna Fitzsimons is an Irish photographer and filmmaker dedicated to telling stories that explore human nature. She holds a B.A. in Photography, an M.A. in Screenwriting, an M.Sc. in Feature Film Production and has completed several prestigious Screen Ireland programs. Her micro-budget feature Meeting on the Stairs toured with the Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival. The award-winning student feature film Poison Pen, with Lorna as lead director, screened worldwide at film festivals, UTV television and Amazon Prime. As a director in the renowned Actors Studio at The Factory, Dublin (now Bow Street), Lorna worked with many of the emerging young Irish stars seen on international screens today. Most recently she directed the short film Whale, a gripping drama about the complexity of domestic violence, produced by Wildfire films and funded by FilmOffaly. Lorna is a full member of the Writers Guild Ireland and the Screen Directors Guild Ireland.
