Monica Ross (Peru)

Monica Ross is a Peruvian screenwriter and actress with a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Interpretation from TAI School of the Arts in Madrid and a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She has participated as an actress in film, theater and television productions, including the short film Clamidia (2022), which premiered at the Ibiza Film Festival. Additionally, she was a participant in screenwriting workshops mentored by Gonzalo Ladines, Gonzalo Rodríguez-Risco and David Planell. In 2016 she won the “New Peruvian Dramaturgy” national award with her play El mundo de los libros. Monica is one of the screenwriters of the series Vuelva conmigo (Animalien), whose pilot was filmed in 2021. In 2023 she won the development fund of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture of Peru with her first feature film project as a screenwriter — En automático.
