Rhoda N. Wainwright is a screenwriter and director with over twenty years of international experience. With a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid, she began her career in publishing, becoming in 2000 the youngest fashion production director in Europe for an international magazine. She ventured into filmmaking through screenwriter Menno Meyjes (The Color Purple), which led her to collaborate with figures such as Oliver Stone and Paul Greengrass and to work on feature films, series, campaigns and documentaries with teams from Europe, the United States, Asia, and Latin America. She is a co-founder of Fiction Changing the World, where she promotes fiction projects with a sustainable and transformative perspective, and of Mrs. Greenfilm, a pioneer consulting firm in audiovisual sustainability. She is the author of the novel She Loves You, and she has directed short films and advertising pieces selected at more than 40 festivals. Her work explores identity, belonging and freedom, with a hybrid and diverse perspective that runs through all her projects.
She loves you — In Franco’s Spain, a young English woman trapped in an oppressive marriage finds love and freedom in the arms of a bohemian flight attendant, defying social norms, her own identity, and the fear of being punished for living her truth.
